Designed for Maximum Vibration Resistance
Optimized for Superior Thermal Management Heat-Dissipating & Temperature-Resistant Components
Compaero is proud to be an approved source for many TACOM drawings. Adapters are submersible up to 6 feet (where listed) and provide excellent strain relief, environmental protection and EMI/RFI protection. These adapters and backshells are often used in tanks including the M1A1, M1A2, Bradley & Stryker.
TACOM Adapters are specialized components designed for military use in tanks such as the M1A1, M1A2, Bradley, and Stryker. These adapters, approved by TACOM (Tank-automotive and Armaments Command), offer excellent strain relief, environmental protection, and EMI/RFI shielding.
This series offers a versatile solution for a range of applications. It includes two main interface types: Interface A, which is compatible with MIL-DTL-5015 Crimp, MIL-DTL-26482 II, and MIL-DTL-83723 III connectors, and Interface H, which is compatible with MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and IV connectors. Each interface type is available in three configurations: straight (0°), 45°, and 90° angles.
Key features of these adapters include:
- Submersibility: With a sealed heat-shrinkable boot and appropriate connector, they can withstand 6 feet of water submergence for 5 minutes without leakage.
- Material options: Available in aluminum (with finish 1.4.3.4 of MIL-STD-171) or stainless steel (with finish 5.4.1 of MIL-STD-171).
- Size range: Multiple shell sizes and entry sizes are available to accommodate various cable diameters and connector types.
- High level of customization: The product code system allows for easy specification of interface type, angle, material, shell size, and entry size, ensuring the adapter meets your specific requirements.
