Designed for Maximum Vibration Resistance

Optimized for Superior Thermal Management Heat-Dissipating & Temperature-Resistant Components

Series 45 Tacom 12347631

Compaero is proud to be an approved source for many TACOM drawings. Adapters are submersible up to 6 feet (where listed) and provide excellent strain relief, environmental protection and EMI/RFI protection. These adapters and backshells are often used in tanks including the M1A1, M1A2, Bradley & Stryker.

TACOM Adapters are specialized components designed for military use in tanks such as the M1A1, M1A2, Bradley, and Stryker. These adapters, approved by TACOM (Tank-automotive and Armaments Command), offer excellent strain relief, environmental protection, and EMI/RFI shielding.

This series offers a versatile solution for a range of applications. It includes two main interface types: Interface A, which is compatible with MIL-DTL-5015 Crimp, MIL-DTL-26482 II, and MIL-DTL-83723 III connectors, and Interface H, which is compatible with MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and IV connectors. Each interface type is available in three configurations: straight (0°), 45°, and 90° angles.

Key features of these adapters include:

  1. Submersibility: With a sealed heat-shrinkable boot and appropriate connector, they can withstand 6 feet of water submergence for 5 minutes without leakage.
  2. Material options: Available in aluminum (with finish 1.4.3.4 of MIL-STD-171) or stainless steel (with finish 5.4.1 of MIL-STD-171).
  3. Size range: Multiple shell sizes and entry sizes are available to accommodate various cable diameters and connector types.
  4. High level of customization: The product code system allows for easy specification of interface type, angle, material, shell size, and entry size, ensuring the adapter meets your specific requirements.

TACOM Adapters

Compaero provides a comprehensive cross-reference system for TACOM adapters, offering equivalent part numbers between TACOM and Compaero designations. This system covers various configurations including:

  1. Angle 1 (Straight)
  2. Angle 4 (45 Degree)
  3. Angle 8 (90 Degree)

The equivalency table encompasses both A and H interfaces, and accounts for different materials (aluminum and stainless steel) across various shell sizes and entry sizes.

For example, a TACOM part number 12347631-1 (Angle 1, A interface) corresponds to the Compaero part number CPA451F-0802. Similarly, for the H interface, TACOM part 12387118-1 equates to Compaero’s CPH451F-0902.

This cross-referencing system allows for easy identification and interchangeability between TACOM and Compaero parts, facilitating seamless integration into existing systems or new designs. For specific part number conversions or additional information, refer to the detailed equivalency tables or contact Compaero’s sales team.
