EMI/RFI Shrink Boot Adapters

Versatile connector-to-cable transition solutions for harsh environments

CP85049/82, /83, /84 Backshell

The Shrink Boot Adapter is a backshell that attaches to a connector’s accessory threads to provide the necessary gripping area for a shrink boot. The Shrink Boot and Adapter are slipped over the cable and, after wiring is completed, the Adapter is attached to the connector. The Shrink Boot is positioned over the Adapter and the jacketed cable. As heat is applied to the Shrink Boot it shrinks tightly around the Adapter and cable forming an environmental seal. Compaero offers a number of Shrink Boot termination variations including Shield Sock, Stainless Steel Termination Band, Stainless Steel Constant Force Spring and Light Bulb Thread.

Compaero’s Shrink Boot Adapters are versatile, offering various termination options including Shield Sock, Stainless Steel Termination Band, Stainless Steel Constant Force Spring, and Light Bulb Thread. These products are comparable to several Glenair series and other industry standards, ensuring compatibility and reliability.

With a wide range of standard options and the ability to customize, Compaero’s Shrink Boot Adapters can be tailored to meet specific application requirements, providing effective solutions for environmental sealing, EMI/RFI shielding, and cable management in demanding conditions.

Compaero offers a comprehensive range of Shrink Boot Adapters designed for harsh environment applications across various industries. These adapters provide a seamless transition from connectors to cables, offering robust environmental sealing, EMI/RFI protection, and effective strain relief.
